As a librarian, I can't say that even libraries are always interested.
As of a week ago, our library here at the University of Texas instituted a
new gift policy. If we have one copy and it does not circulate over 4 times
a year, we cannot add a second copy. In short, you may want to consider
checking a library's collection first, before you donate as they might end
up selling your donations as well.
