I'd want to make selections which would be relatively wide-ranging in time
periods and styles, something along the lines of the below:
Machaut - Messe de Nostre Dame.
Dowland - Lachrimae (Seaven Teares).
Bach - Well-Tempered Clavier.
Handel - Messiah.
Mozart - Clarinet Quintet.
Beethoven - Symphony No. 9.
Verdi - La Traviata.
Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 3.
Stravinsky - Rites of Spring.
Piazzola - Las cuatro estanciones portenas.
Of course, ten isn't close to the number needed to cover all bases.
