John Polifronio:
>Has there been mention of the Stravinsky sym. #1 in Eb, Op.1, (1905)?
>I've enjoyed this work each of the few times I've listened to it.
Someone did mention it, but I agree, it's a delight. Very Rimskian and
Borodinian. Stravinsky recorded it late in life (it now appears in his
Sony boxed set but may be available individually). Antal Dorati I think
did a much better, warmer performance for London/Decca (coupled with the
Scherzo fantastique, op. 3), but I'm not sure it's still available.
