Ok, Julia!  I agree with you about the Debussys opera that perhaps doesnt
reveal the crude, violent, powerful, energetic, but clean, optimistic and
hi-tech atmosphere of our century, but our century is also the age of the
oppressive anguish and no-eloquence quit...

My operas of the second half of 20th Century:
K.-B. Blomdahl: "Aniara" - 1958
G. Ligeti: "Le grand macabre"  - 1977
K. Stockhausen: "Licht" (opera cycle) - since 1977
Ph. Glass: "Einstein on the Beach" - 1976,  and "Akhnaten" - 1984
L. Berio: "Un re in ascolto" - 1984

Now I'm searching the 90th's operas.
