I thank those list members who gave me their advice on Fidelio recordings.
The three recordings that stick in my mind through reading the postings
are Gardiner's Lenore, and the Fidelios from Davis and Klemperer.  All I
have to do is purchase the Davis; I already have the other two but haven't
listened to either over the past year.  The time has come.  I'll also
locate my copies of the Harnoncourt, Mackerras, and Haitink.  This is the
land of equal opportunity.
