I would add Bartok, Vaughn Williams, Stravinsky, Berg, Nielsen, Chopin,
Berlioz, Janacek, Wolf, Sibelius. What Len calls signatures, I have long
thought of as footprints. And I think that whatever you call it, it is
something all great composers are endowed with.
