Hey, come on!. I didn't want to be offensive. I like many Rostropovich's
recordings (as a violoncellist, and conducting WNSO too), but I don't like
this particular one. It's really bad, but to say how bad it is doesn't
means an insult to Rostropovich (or his admirers) or to the orchestra: all
performers have their bad recordings. I am an admirer of Karajan, but I
think that he murdered some works (many, perhaps).
PS: Peter, you're unfair: "crap" is even better fitted to describe many
other of my opinions in this list .:-)
