A friend of mine just lent me Claudio Arrau's Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1
and 2. It is one from one of the many CDs in a full box set of complete
Piano works of Beethoven by the famous pianist (under Philipps label, I
think). I have not heard these two works so frequently as I much preferred
the 4th and 5th. But hearing this version is so refreshing. I am no music
critics so I can't explain it. Could someone care to give his comments
about these two beauties?
