I'm not familiar with Haitink's 10th. In general, there's substantial
opinion that Haitink's way with Shostakovich is too controlled and tame.
I favor Karajan on DG. I bought it a few years ago on their Galleria label
(I think). Donald's our DDD man, and it's possible that the Karajan is
DDD. But, as I remember, the sound wasn't all that great, just the
interpretation.
