Hi All,
Things are likely to get significantly warmer much faster than we thought. Alive in the blogosphere and climate research field are the findings of Steven Sherwood's group at New South Wales demonstrating that it just about possible to double the atmospheric temperature rise for a given amount of carbon dioxide. That is most of the models until now have missed by about 50%. And it's all because of cloud dynamics. http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v505/n7481/full/nature12829.html (paywall here). You can catch the gist on Slate http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2013/12/31/climate_change_vastly_worse_than_previously_thought.html , or the Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/dec/31/planet-will-warm-4c-2100-climate?view=desktop. Or Huffington Post.

Best in the New Year,

C
