Well, there's a boatload of demos you can do with eggs...

 

*         The classic egg-in-a-bottle (here's Steve Spangler doing it

*         The egg-inertia trick (Spangler again, from the ASTC
Conference <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ1KlUy2dns> )

*         If you can filter it up into the egg, you can fill a hollow
egg shell with hydrogen gas + blow it up

*         Another weird inertia demo: put 4 sponges down, put an egg on
each one (the sponges are mostly to keep the eggs in place) then stack a
bunch of hardback book on top of the eggs. Then put a piece of wood on
top of the books. Then hammer a nail into the wood

*         Add an egg to LN2? Why not?

 

More hands-on things for the visitors:

*         Well, the egg drop is classic for a reason

*         The old egg spinning experiment (raw vs hard boiled)

*         Trying to balance an egg on end (debuking that weird equinox
myth that pops up occasionally)

*         Potentially more work intensive, but maybe team up with
Audubon for some bird-related stuff, making birdhouses or feeders or
something. (Migration/nesting will be starting up ~4/20 here in
Connecticut, not sure about Calgary)

 

I don't have the precise directions, there's also a demo adding
marshmallow peeps to hydrogen peroxide.
