ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

My two cents after a few hours with both the old listserve and the new
"general forum" is to try it out- you'll probably like it.

Once you get into the new "General Forum" format for getting new
messages, there are eleven highlighted options to the right in each
message, where you just click on the option you want and it takes you
directly where you need to go (without having to login or ...) including

"reply to discussion"
"reply to sender"
"post message" (which takes you to a spot where you can start a new thread)
"manage my subscriptions" (which communities you are part of, how they
come, ...)
"search"
....

And if you click on the highlighted link in the TO header in the
message, such as "General Forum," it takes you to a page which lists the
most recent discussions, so you can click on the one you are interested
in and see the whole strand without having to search through the emails
in your inbox. That's a feature I think will be really nice.

I'll be curious how attachments work, as that could be handy on
occasion, especially if they're handled as something where you click on
link to get to them (at least if they are large files -so your inbox
doesn't get swamped with large attachments).
