ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I have always liked "Aha moment" for just this sort of experience. The only difference I see is that it can happen on site, a day later or years later. The fact that we create a chance for it to happen as all is what I think is important.

Some things only become more meaningful when you get the connection between the museum experience and an actual real world experience.

For what it matters, I recently attempted to go back and read Stranger in a Strange Land. Heinlein was a favorite when I was young. The book is still a good read, but I don't think I realized what a chauvinist he really was back then. For as forward thinking as he was there are some horribly un-PC ideas about women in that book.

I think it nicely encompasses the fact that the lesson shouldn't be something that is obvious beforehand, but that after the fact it should be obvious you learned something and see the world a little bit differently.
