A very cool story.  I don't know about the product, but I was particularly taken with the researchers point of view and death's intimate relationship with xenophobia.  Birth and death are the ultimate shared experiences and we have close to zero reports from either, and both are the subject of lots of magically speculation.  How appropriate for the turning of year.
