hi all on the listserv,

I wanted to write one last post after all these years. I began in the
science museum/ informal world when I was 20 at the Museum of Science and
Industry in Chicago and remember a colleague telling me about the listserv,
early on. It became my graduate school in a way, as it opened up to me
connections to the people and the foundational ideas in our field. More
than once, all of you, who are the listserv, have helped me out of a jam
with your knowledge, creativity and talent. So, Thank You, Listserv!

It's great to see the field progressing, but I'll miss the ease of this
format. How easy will it be in the future to tell you all about the
Maker-type exhibit I just developed and opened at Kidspace Children's
Museum, called the Imagination Workshop, and respond to questions? How easy
will it be for that news to open up a thread of discussion about Maker
things or the connections between children's and science museums? Will I
still be able to forget that I left my personal phone number in a post?
We'll see...

Have a great weekend and take care, listserv!
Ben
