In my earlier reply, I neglected to mention our government's Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines here in the U.S.   These guidelines have long included a document on Contraindications to Breastfeeding, and renal disease with or without dialysis is not listed as a contraindication.  I've routinely kept copies of these CDC Contraindications to Breastfeeding for inpatient and outpatient consults over the years - - so helpful for patient education.
