I was thinking she would probably need the specific permission of the parents and the courts, which is doubtful. And that would likely take a long time to get the judge to approve it, if they did. Otherwise they would likely remove the baby from her custody and she could possibly face criminal charges.

Unfortunately in most of the US the baby would be removed from her care :-( If she nurses when she can and tells NOBODY......
