My name is Heather Skaza and I am a doctoral student of Science
Education at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Throughout my
program, I have been studying the design and implementation of
inquiry-based science curriculum for K-12 environmental education. More
recently, I have become very interested in how this is accomplished in
informal learning environments.
Since I am new to the filed, I am beginning my inquiry about informal
education as part of my comprehensive exams. I am writing to invite you
to participate in a survey so that I might learn more about how
curriculum materials for informal institutions are designed and how
they relate to formal education materials. I am interested in finding
out more about your curricula, teaching and learning philosophies,
attributes, theoretical frameworks, and practices in designing learning
experiences for your participants.
It would help my comprehensive exam research tremendously if you could
