My apologies.
I should re-iterate, since I noticed my sentence was a little clunky: I'm
suggesting that we focus on environment, topics and supporting student's
capacity to learn.
What I'm saying is that, what's happening *Instead* is that we are focusing
on "teaching" over the students
As a reference in additional support, I found this to be a good read
recently:
*The Anti-Education Era: Creating Smarter Students through Digital Learning
by James Paul Gee*
http://www.amazon.com/The-Anti-Education-Era-Creating-Students/dp/0230342094
Contrary to the title, it goes way beyond just "digital" learning into why
certain way of creating critical learners is not working, including
cultural bias.
