ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I used to live in the SF bay area, and the Exploratorium was one of
those places a bunch of us 20-and-30-somethings would make an impulse
destination of; it was a great, casual, low-stress-high-fun day out
(that usually ended much later at Spec's or Vesuvio...).

No way would we want to hit anyplace with parking hassles and tourist
crowds. So it's not just a price issue, I can imagine it's a real shift
from what the locals are used to, that would make it much less of an
impulse visit.

I too am hoping they weather this well, and best of luck to their staff,
remaining and previous! And thanks to them all for the wonderful
experiences and memories.
