I am interested in adding an exhibit in our space lab that allows visitors
to view cosmic ray tracks in a cloud chamber (just in time for the 100
year anniversary of the discovery of cosmic rays in 1912). I was hoping to
get some feedback from some of you who have experience with such an
exhibit. Specifically,
- How does your detector work? (I am familiar with the dry ice and alcohol
setup but I am not sure how feasible that would be to set up as a more or
less continually running exhibit for visitors)
- Are there many challenges in keeping it running?
- Are there special considerations as to lighting?
- Are visitors interested in the exhibit (any tips on signage?)?
- Any other information that might be good to know...
Thank you very much for your help!
Sincerely,
Simon
