The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is accepting applications in the Learning Labs in Libraries and Museums<http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=27143956&msgid=464084&act=CWPE&c=278052&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imls.gov%2Fabout%2Flearning_labs.aspx> program, jointly funded by IMLS and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and managed by ASTC and the Urban Libraries Council (ULC). These grants will support the planning and designing of Learning Labs in libraries and museums throughout the country. The Labs are intended to engage middle- and high-school youth in mentor-led, interest-based, youth-centered, collaborative learning using digital and traditional media. Projects are expected to provide prototypes for the field and be based on current research about digital media and youth learning. Applications are due June 15.

To learn more and/or ask questions about the program, you are invited to participate in a pre-application webinar, scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET (12:00-1:00 p.m. PT).
