ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

All,
Here at the New England Air Museum we have an opportunity to get a HAM radio station. Before we proceed, I was wondering if there were other science centers and museums that have ham radios and, if so, what types of programs are offered, how are they used, etc? The ham radio equipment is to be donated. The image that comes to my mind is of Dr. Arroway as a kid talking to Pensacola, FL in the movie (and book) Contact. Based on that alone, I am sold...haha...but I want to know if it is worth our time and effort, and that the equipment can be beneficial before I accept the donation.
Thanks,
Jason
