Hi Kat,
If you're redoing your 'shadow wall' you may want to look into a
laminate product from Abet-Lamaneti called "Lumiphos." It's not cheap,
but it is quite durable and, barring outright and determined vandalism,
should last indefinitely. It's sold in 4X8 sheets (and maybe 5X10) and
is applied like any laminate products. I would say it's a better deal
than trying to paint it yourself.
If you're determined to 'paint' the wall yourself, check out "Glow Inc."
(http://glowinc.com/) They have paint and powders to be mixed in their
medium. These guys are glow-in -the-dark lunatics and have tons of
information and suggestions on the uses of their products. Just make
sure you read the information very carefully to chose an appropriate
product.
Just a note. I have found that the laminate is not quite as bright as
the old time standard vinyl, which these walls were often covered with.
But the difference is only noticeable when compared side by side. To me,
the laminate offers lots of benefits and the trade off is worth it.
Lumiphos is what we most often use in our products.
