Our Zoetrope has been popular through the decades. Due to rising cost of printed paper (for the squares in which to draw) we went to blank strips of paper. Installed a lift-up jig where the paper strips could be put under aluminum square cutouts and the visitor would draw on the paper in each square. This worked very well. We also had a local student draw up a half-dozen or so strips, laminated them and hung them from a T-pole with spring clips. Stick people and faces were quite popular. This way, young or non-artistic visitors could see a decent moving image.
Good luck, George Wurtak

We have a nice draw-your-own zoetrope exhibit, and are considering
getting a pre-built Zoetrope exhibit to go along with it. Anyone have
a lead on someone making zoetropes that will hold up in a science
museum setting?
thanks.
