There is a wonderful article by niles eldridge, who in addition to being a major evolution guy at AMNH is a trumpeter and collector of early trumpets. He did a cladogram of trumpet evolution to demonstrate the difference between cultural "evolution" and evolution by natural selection. They cladograms look entirely different in cultural products than they do in natural selection. I used to have the article on my computer somewhere, I will try to find it.
