We've used corn syrup, too. But I did mean corn starch. I actually just went to observe our bubble outreach program last week. He made a bucket full of bubble solution, using corn starch. The solution made GIANT bubbles!
I was surprised, too! But it is a thickening agent.

Corn Starch? I've known of places that use corn syrup - is that what you meant, or is corn starch truly a viable alternative? Also if you look on-line, many " personal lubricants" apparently are used in bubble solutions with success. We still go with Glycerin, but we wouldn't be able to find it any more if it weren't for on-line orders...
