Sean,
a few new lcd/led type TV's have a USB host function...
you can plug in a memory stick and play the digital content
challenges with this are.. these are mostly consumer products and so will come up in stand by when power is applied
(though a few such as some panasonic models have a "real:" switch and can come on with the mains power ( other brands and professional public display monitors will behave properly).
you can get a WIDE range of solid state video players ( about the size of a good sandwich) which can be programmed to play a series of clips or stills, these could be mounted on the back of a standard monitor/tv..
some of the players will also have buttons interfaces ( and serial if needed) to allow for SOME level of interactivity.
let me know if you need any specifics.
cheers

Dear all,
Has anyone come across a large-screen LCD Tv with an integrated hard drive so that I can load a video onto it and never have to worry about it again? I can see that LCDs with DVD players are available but I was hoping to get away from the moving parts if possible....
Thanks
Sean Gaffaney
