Hi Mario,
Over the years here in Boston we've had several exhibits using a
rheoscopic fluids and have always used Kalliroscope Corp.
www.kalliroscope.com <http://www.kalliroscope.com>. Of our 2 current
exhibits one is a sealed horizontal table top exhibit using straight
fluid and haven't had to service it in over 20 years. Our other is a
hands on Stream Table using a very diluted mixture of 1 oz. of fluid for
every gallon of water. As others have point out, the particles tend to
settle and the nozzles feeding the stream have a tendency to clogged so
we have to service this unit weekly. The up side is that Kalliroscope is
nontoxic and allows visitors to put their hands in the water and
manipulate the current. A bacterial stabilizer, available through the
company, is recommended if you something like this.
Hope this helps,
Dan MacDonald
