After reading this story and watching the You Tube video, it not so clear to me that the oft touted experiment is a reflection of the "authority compliant" nature of humans. It seems it might be more a reflection of conformational bias of a theory via statistical manipulation rather than results based upon evidence.

In the early 1960s, psychologist Stanley Milgram conducted a controversial study in which participants were led to believe they were administering painful, high-voltage shocks to other subjects. Gina Perry, author of Behind the Shock Machine, says the study has "taken on a life of its own."
