I liked the article he wrote about us, as he focused on two exhibitions that I was particularly passionate about, Connections and Mathematica.  I thought his points were valid, if not very well supported.  I am delighted to have someone writing about science centers and science museums in the Times, so that is a net positive.  There's something in his tone that bugs me, he doesn't really know much but is clearly very used to passing judgements and having those judgements honored.  Imagine what it would do to a person to be Cultural Critic at Large for the New York Times or whatever his title is.  You have to grease his ears to get him in the door as a friend of mine used to say about his boss.
