ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Assuming your audience cares, why not informally test your top five
with people who visit?
A long time ago, our team went through a naming exercise with a
company who specialized in such things (pro bono) of course.....If I
remember correctly, we put all the ideas (from brainstorming) on the
table on note cards, then went through an iterative process where
everyone got a set number of votes each round. Rather than each
person deleting names they didn't like, you chose, say, the 3 you
liked best. So it took the most 'positives' for a name to stay in a
round. It was surprising how well it worked - no one had veto over
just one idea and what we came out with was consensus.....It was a
very positive way to go about it!
I'm sure I've got the process a bit muddled - so if someone can fill
in the blanks for this kind of process, please do!
