Here's a bit of a review about commercially available VDG's:
http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/vandegraaff.htm
I just refurbished our (homebuilt) generator, and it's about the same size.
We get pretty good performance out of it, definitely a good size. We can
get 5" sparks to the wand, and I have yet to see a demo we can't perform.
Any larger, and it's physically hard to move and accidental sparks get more
painful.
Anybody have any unique tricks or demos they like to share?
