ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

There are programs like FrameThief (http://www.framethief.com/) or
products like the Video Lunchbox (http://www.animationtoolworks.com/)
through which you can easily record animation.
These tools do not require a specific camera. You can use either a
still digital camera or a digital video camera.
I have only used these products in programs and demos, never as a
stand alone exhibit, but each is a very stable platform.
