Well, there was an experiment in guerilla-interaction several years ago in NY when Manhattanville College students entered an art museum and began social networking/art criticism with their offsite buddies.  They would stand in front of a piece of art and comment to their friend, who was on the phone, and it created some interesting reactions.  For one thing, it drove the guards nuts, as (OMG!) people were actually TALKING in an art museum.  But, it did create the "beyond the museum walls" experience…!
