Outreach Opportunity
Saint Louis Science Center in partnership with Moreno/Lyons Productions and the American Chemical Society has developed an outreach opportunity aimed at making chemistry accessible and exciting to diverse audiences around the U.S. We are seeking nine (9) science centers or museums to join the St. Louis Science Center in the Search for the Elements Science Center Network. These centers will help prototype materials and activities around National Chemistry Week 2011 and participate in a targeted outreach campaign during the months leading up to the 2012 national premiere of a television program called The Mystery of Matter:Search for the Elements. Each selected site will receive site money in the amount of $10,000 to offset the costs of presenting the activities and a Special Event during National Chemistry Week 2012.
Eligible Institutions: Science Centers and Museums
Project Term: May 2011 – November 2012
