tho' I am no medical expert, it seems to me that the potential for
interference with a pacemaker (or ...??) is minimal, unless you held a
large super magnet - like a big rare earth magnet - right against the chest.
Magnetic fields, as you are doubtless aware, obey the inverse square
rule, so the impact of a magnet decreases very rapidly with distance -
distance measured in two or three centimeters, for a magnet of
centimeters size.
Still, if you are concerned about insurance policies etc, you'd better
get a professional statement, as Jeff suggests.
