The NY Times (1/4/08) has an article about a new book on just this topic
produced by the National Academy of Sciences--"Science, Evolution and
Creationism." It is targeted specifically to the lay public, explains the
differences between science and religion and asserts that "acceptance of
evolution does not require abandoning belief in God." The book will be
available on the web site of the academies: www.nas.edu.
