Dear colleagues,
Late last month Seattle City Club hosted a discussion with two
well-known astrobiologists - Dr. Jill Tarter from the SETI Institute and
Dr. Don Brownlee from the University of Washington. It was a lively
discussion regarding the possibility of finding life elsewhere in the
universe. TVWashington filmed the discussion, so you can watch the
entire event online (Click here to view the video online!)
<http://www.seattlechannel.org/videos/video.asp?ID=5210951> and the
event will air locally on The Seattle Channel on September 17 at 5:00pm.
The event also prompted a Seattle Times editorial - Interlude: Life on
Other Planets
<http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/edcetera/2009766838_interlude_lif
e_on_other_planet.html> .
I hope you can find time to enjoy seeing the discussion.
