These sites are Eurocentric but contain contributions of other cultures. 
Science as we portray it stems from prechrisitianity and the ancient
Greeks(no not ancient geeks) probably in Ionia or what is now Turkey. 
Science in terms of Plato's how can we save the phenomena, that is, how
can we explain things in terms of repeatable causes.  History of Science
101 will tell you that Christianity and Christian scholastics at one point
embraced Aristotle and the Greek writings in some senses.

That is not to say that other cultures did not observe or calculate or do
medicine or have excellent technology.  Mesoamerican medicine was as
sophisticated or more so than Spanish medicine at the time.  Looking at
the stars, knowing their positions, and knowing the apparent motions of
the heavens is ubiquitous to most cultures.  Good observation is not
science, that requires non mythical explanations which we call theories.
