Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I and others who work here at the Children's Science Explorium at Sugar Sand Park in Boca Raton, Florida, (mostly for children ages 5-12) have a general exhibit question: what are general, accepted procedures or protocols for cleaning exhibits? Particularly, building blocks and complex plastic components that many people handle every day, all week long? Also, same for buttons, handles, wheels, etc. How often, what do you use or recommend for cleansing agents, & what techniques? Primary concerns are sanitation, cleanliness, and appearance. Mostly sanitation. How frequently should the cleanings be done is a big unknown for us. Every day vs. once a week?

Thanks, Ron Tompkins, Science Presenter, Sugar Sand Park.
