I am sure others here will have better info on your question than I.

I do however have a suggestion for you to consider... A "catch all" gallery. I have alot of citizens here who donate their prized sea shell collection, or any number of random items.

For me, many of these people also give us money at other times, so I cant tell them no or not display them in some fashion.
You can only farm out so much of these things to Bank Galleries and the like.

An area, gallery, hallway, etc dedicated to this will help you in the long run!
