Hi Alissa,
As a demo, we've used sea shells, which are also calcium carbonate,
with one drop of weak acid. We watch the acid bubble, and then talk
about how sugar acts like an acid and attacks the enamel on teeth.
Gets kids attention! You can also talk about all the foods with
calcium that help to build strong teeth and bones.
