Socialexplorer.com is an amazing tool developed by a team right here
in Queens. Using a very simple map-based graphic interface, you can
retrieve demographic data by census tract or even by block where
available. It offers this data for the period 1940-2000, so you can
see trends changing over time. It is really is brilliant and
friendly. Andrew Beveridge, the man who created it leads the
sociology department at Queens College.
