Though we've used metal halide (MH) lamps – and have a
very favorable opinion of them for specific uses –
we've never used them in track fixtures. I'll be
interested to hear other people's experiences.

MH bulbs are efficient and they're dimmable.
Is it really true that 70W PAR30 lamps (e.g.)
can't be dimmed?
