We at Clore Garden of Science, Weizmann Institute, ISRAEL have signs in
three languages: Hebrew, Arabic and English. There is a photo of the
exhibit and 3 texts. Every text has a teaser. The teasers are not
translated as they are to each anguage, but written in the appropriate
style for each language. The main texts are "what to do" and short
explanations. They are written in an appropriate style for the
languages. The writers in english and arabic get the hebrew text: the
arabic writer is a scientist and the english writer is an experienced
scientific translator.
I want to send an example, but it is impossible to send a pdf
attachment to the list. If you want a sample send me your e-mail address
and I will be happy to send you the attachment.

The Field Museum in Chicago has a traveling chocolate exhibit that
features
labels in both English and Spanish. They were well done. In addition,
the
Arizona Sonora Desert Museum has good bilingual (English-Spanish)
signage for
most or all their exhibits.

Is there an institution that does signage in multiple languages really
well?
And by that I mean they don't just have twice the signs - one in
English,
one in Spanish - they have figured out ways to convey the info without
bombarding people with text?
