Dear Colleagues,
Kelly asked me to share this with you. Thanks Peter Clark, Gallery Manager
The Virginia Discovery Museum has sponsored a free internet-based geology contest for 3rd-5th grade classes for the last ten years. Participation has dropped over the last several years, partially due to the new Standards of Learning curriculum, which limits the study of geology to the 5th grade. The Museum's target audience is actually 8 and under, so we wondered if anyone out there has any kind of internet-based hands-on programs that target K-3rd classrooms? Thanks for any input!
