ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hi
Here in Brazil we have developed an exhibition called "NanoAdventure"
(NanoAventura). The project aims to transform the nanoworld basic notions,
such as atoms, molecules, chemical bonds, and their connection with
macroscopic and microscopic properties, more intuitive to the students and
to the audience that are in daily contact with these concepts in their
life, even though they don’t know about it. To achieve the abovementioned
purposes, the project was conceived as an interactive exhibition. The main
notions of nanoscience and nanotechnology are presented in a set of games
that attracts, teaches, and stimulates future learning experiences. During
the design phase of the project there was a strong concerning to create an
interactive way to present the content, which lead to development of
hardware, software and scenographic environment alluding true
nanotechnology laboratorial activities.
The exhibition is running rather well, and its homepage is
http://www.nanoaventura.org.br, but unfortunately is all in Portuguese. I
will be happy to provide more information to those interested, and I would
also appreciate receiving further material and links from projects in this
field.
Best regards,
Marcelo Knobel
