Dear Beth:

I am director of Celebra la Ciencia, a science outreach program targeting
Latino families. Working with the Pacific Science Center, we have developed
Spanish-language science demos and some bilingual science outreach exhibits. We
have casually observed and are now documenting through evaluating that this
helps increase parent/child interaction in the exhibits. Latino children are
often fine with English labels etc but the lack of Spanish-language labels often
eliminates opportunities for interaction. This is not a cosmic development or
rocket science, but nonetheless I think it is significant. If you believe a
report on this angle would contribute to your session, I would be happy to
participate.

Thanks.

Bob
