First lets hope that sanity prevails but in this anti-science
culture we are living in who knows?
An interesting way to do this: have teachers team teach: the
science teacher explains the scientific basis and evidence for
evolution and why scientist accept it as fact and another teacher
(philosophy, literature, mythology or religion) teaches ID or
creationism. In this way students would get a better understanding of
what the issues are in stark contrast to each other. I am not aware
that the legislation would require they be taught by the same teacher.
Kenneth Miller, Brown University
(http://www.millerandlevine.com/km/evol/) has some materials that
could be used to counter the arguments of ID and creationists.
